Today was a sort of a tipsy day. Both good and bad. There wasn't one thing that ruined the whole day, but there wasn't something that brightened it either. Except for when some kid fell out of their chair and landed on their face.... but hey! That's mean!
Here's a lovely web cam photo (*cough* NOT) of a recent flower. It's been too long. I need to drag out my glue gun and get to work. Maybe over the weekend.
Well here's a bit of bad news I'll share. So unless you guys raise chickens like me, you're probably not going to understand this... or maybe you might. You never know! But today one of my girl's was murdered. Can anyone say BRUTALLY? Let's just say it took her head and left her body. Well then Mr. Possum couldn't escape so he got to have a little sleepover in the coop. Thankfully he only took one out of the four in my small coop. Well, as my sister named him, "Bill Mofo" is now dead. I started yelling uh... mean words at him and he looked guilty. He had to suffer the death penalty. Since the ground is so frozen, we couldn't bury her so she had to just be tossed it the woods. So R.I.P. Arianna Janelle. Yes, my chickens DO have middle names!

Ugh. I'm just having one of those days. I started a stop-motion video for my technology class today. I think that's what they're called. You guys know those videos made out of a billion photos. Well, 209 photos, 4 dead batteries, and an hour and a half later, I have successfully completed a total of less then 30 seconds. Oh joy. I am sitting here, procrastinating. I've already fulfilled my creative quota for the day. I keep staring at my notebook, attempting to take notes on the US Revolution. I so far have the title and the date. I can't focus! I'm not inspired by anything at the moment, so I feel like if I even entered my craft room, I'd just end up staring at my glue gun for an hour. I should probably STOP procrastinating right about now.... but I just have a lot on my mind. Well, I'm really not actually thinking about it.... but still. My dad got a job offer for a GREAT job. He's been retired for about 3 years now so this is really great for him. There's just a downside. An extremely big downside. It's almost a cliff... The job is 2 states away. So that means that he'll live near his work five days a week and possibly come back up on the weekends. The best part is that he's planning on starting to work there in early May. There's something going on that time of the year. Oh yeah. My birthday could it be? I'm sick of him ruining my birthdays (Don't tell him I said that, but it's MORE than true!). I'm still a kid, sort of.... So I still like my birthday. It'll bring me one year closer to getting my license... which is one step closer to freedom. Ugh I NEED to stop rambling. I'll let you guys go for now. I'll TRY and post something tomorrow, if not possibly Friday... or Saturday... or Sunday... or...or....or....

Yes, here is the promised post! I know I've been bad and haven't shared too much of my crafting feats lately. There's not much to write about, so don't feel like you're missing anything. I somehow stumbled upon this. Don't know how, don't remember where. I clicked some link and Project Thrive popped up. Well click the link then go to the 'Days for Girls' tab.
Anyway, you all know those "unmentionables" that for all those food and toiletries drives nobody really brings much of? Well Project Thrive Days for Girls is all about MAKING those for girls in Africa. Go check out their website. RIGHT NOW. All you sewers, new and old, it's perfect for you! I've looked at video instructions and even read some too. I just need material. I would already have made about a billion if I had the money to buy fabric. Oh well. I'll share it with you guys in hopes that someone else is willing to make some.

No, I don't have anything crafty to share with my uh numerous readers today, but I'll write a little something so you guys don't feel abandoned. I had my first track meet of the season today. Can anyone say cold? I somehow managed to get both sunburned and all chapped from the wind. It wasn't helpful that the blanket I was bundled up in was all scratchy!
Well, in terms of personal achievements, I did REALLY well. For the 100 meter race I beat my previous year's record by almost 2 seconds! And yes I do believe my coach was under the influence of something. My family is artistic not athletic. She made me compete in everything for points. For the 200 meter race, I was SO proud of myself because.... I actually beat someone! They call us shot-put throwers "Slower Throwers" for a reason! I threw my best I'd thrown all season which happened to only be 23. something feet... but hey I haven't thrown in 8 months and had to wear a wrist brace for 6 of the 8. I did the best out of the girls on my team so I can't complain. My varsity spot is secure for something.
I'm super proud of myself! Maybe when I'm not so busy I'll actually post about some crafts! I have a little something up my sleeve that I'm waiting to share.... well, I really just thought about posting it 3 seconds ago, but I'll wait until tomorrow. Okay so now I'll just quit rambling and get back to my homework. Remember that stuff?
