Swamped.

Aren't weekends supposed to be relaxing? It's the first weekend of the school year and I'm swamped.
World Cultures paper, Test on Animal Farm, Speech for Honors Comp., posters for cheer sister and football brothers. I feel like I've been sitting at the table all weekend and have gotten nothing done. Except I have.
58 Biology definitions, Spanish activity, 37 math problems, Religion reading and journal, P.E./ Health paper. When will it ever end?

I'm having a really hard time figuring out how to summarize Isaac Newton's and Johann Sebastian Bach's life into half a page each. It should be easy. But it's not. I spent over an hour on one paragraph about William Shakespeare.
LOST FOCUS.
REWARD.

School. Sleep. and Repeat.

I really should be writing my essay. It's not due until Monday so I still have time. Gosh this past half of a week has been exhausting.
Wednesday: School Orientation, Cheer Pictures, and our First game which ended up being delayed twice after the first quarter due to lightening and then finally canceled. We just sat in the Gym playing games with the other team's cheerleaders for that hour.

Thursday: School. Cheer. Food. Homework. Shower. Bed.

Friday: School. Was given pounds and pounds of homework. Gymnastics. Got tons of rug burns. Got my round-off tuck. Homework. Bed.

Saturday: Homework. Gymnastics. Got more rug burns. Attempted my round-off tuck with no spotter standing there. Did fine. Rolled my ankle doing a stupid drill. Put goo on my rug burns. Shower. Party. Shopping. Attempt at an essay.

During our whole "shopping extravaganza" which really was just getting a few last minute school supplies, I got these babies:
I already had the first ones. I love them but I'm so not excited to tape them for the next 6 weeks during every cheer/gymnastics practice. Urg.

Goodnight.

Back 2 School!

We don't go back until the 24th but we're definitely ready.
We've got backpacks.
 Highlighters, pens, and pencils.
 Composition books.
 Notebooks.
 Folders.
 Binders.
 New shoes and new uniforms.
I think we're ready to go!
Kind of nervous to be starting highschool but I think I'll do okay. Any tips?

Homecoming Dresses

Today I went shopping. I didn't find anything. That's usual for me. It takes me like 5 trips to find what I want. It annoys the crap out of my mom.
When I couldn't find anything at Group USA, I decided to do some looking online. Here's my favorite find.
Too bad it's got a nice juicy price tag of $99.99.
Thankfully I have about a month and a half to find a dress. Once school starts though, I doubt I'll find the time.
I'll admire this baby from a distance for now.
I'll try on the dress and whine at how stubby it makes my legs look.
At how well it brings out my numerous bruises in places practically impossible to even get bruises in.
At how awkward it makes me look.
At how hard it is to find shoes to match.
Either way,
I'm in love.

I've been a bad blogger

I know, I've been busy. Doing what? You may ask. Well, mostly nothing.
I had writing day camp all last week. It was better than I thought it would be but I seriously felt like the oldest because all the other girls my age were pretty immature. I was hoping to see none of them ever again but one is actually going to my school next year. Pretty cool since she was nice. Although she made me look tall... and I'm the exact opposite.
This past weekend I had cheer camp. It was almost exactly what you'd find in a cheer movie although there was no spirit stick. We all had fun getting sweat stains on our "onesies" (just matching color of shirts/shorts) and having dance parties at two in the morning. Everything really is funnier at night.
I'm now getting to the point where cheer is my life. I've got numerous shirts with the word "CHEER" in some form on the front. I've got Soffe shorts in every color. I even have tons of hair bows, sparkly and non, in my school's colors. I also have 9+ bottles of hairspray. I have a whole drawer full of curlers.
I'm going to be very sad when school starts in 2 weeks and I have no time to craft! Each week, I'll be spending about 35 hours at school, about 10+ hours cheering, the same amount on homework, and probably the rest sleeping or attempting to have a social life. Crafting will have to be saved for nights where my insomnia seems to kick in.

What happened to the days where I had play dates and went to the park? Where the only make up I wore was pretend? When I wore my hair in pig tails and braids. Ahhh. I want to go back!
Instead I've got to focus on summer spanish, on nailing my back tuck, on getting more power during stunts, on remembering to not eat dairy because no matter how many times I eat it, it ALWAYS upsets my stomach.
      Well, almost goodbye summer.

Weekend Getaway!

Don't you just love those? We took to weekend off to see some friends up North at their beach house on  gorgeous Lake Michigan.
Our car ride was filled with lots of this...
Even some body art...
I even participated...

We got held up in some lovely traffic...
We did a little of this...
Don't you love being all packed into the car?
Ahhh. It was a perfect day to travel....
We had some road snacks which were later substituted for brownies.

We hurriedly ditched the body art
Right after dinner (and dessert of course) we dove right in. Sort of.

 We looked at the rocks...
And dug our toes into the sand...
Even the view out the front of the beach house was spectacular...
My mom decided this is why she had children... to carry stuff.

After many boat troubles, we finally went for a boat ride! In a different lake of course.

We then went swimming...
 and enjoyed some refreshments...
When we got back we were angered to see 15+ cars right by our cottage. Our normally barren beach was crowded.
Someone decided to go wading... in their clothes.
We then sat, ate, and enjoyed the sunset....

Those cheeks!
We even went for yet another dip... in the hot tub this time, though.
We even flew through the air in princess attire...

And enjoyed the sun set one last time...

We even practiced rolling our eyes. That'll come in handy a few years down the line.
In the morning, we made a sandcastle...
And then it was time for the princess to go...
We dropped my sister off at camp and we enjoyed the lovely 4 hour car ride home in peace and quiet not associated with siblings and fighting which happened the way up. Ahhh.

Tomorrow I get to enjoy day camp. My mom signed me up because I wasn't social enough. Now going to day camp is keeping me from being social. *Sigh*
Goodnight!

Insomnia.

There's a few things I wish.
I wish I could actually fall asleep in less than 2 hours.
I wish that I had sleeping pills to help me do so.
I wish I could stay asleep after I fall asleep.
I wish after I fall asleep, no one would wake me up.
I wish more of the world was awake at this hour and not just Wal-Mart.
I wish I lived within walking distance of any 24 hour store.
I wish I had my license so I could go to Wal-Mart at this hour.
I wish I had someone who would take me to Wal-Mart at this hour.
I wish I could think of something to do at this hour besides take a shower which is what I was doing yesterday at this hour.
I wish I was awake enough to sew and not completely screw my project up.
I wish.... I wish..... I wish....
Well, thank God for Hulu, Pinterest , and Polyvore. What else is there to do at 2 a.m.? I could cut up a giant ham like my dad is currently doing. Great to see sleeplessness runs in the family.
Good thing I don't have anything until noon. Good thing I'm non stop busy from then until 8 p.m.

Good Night Morning!
