Dr.Shah wants PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt sacked

Sindh Sports Minister Dr.Muhammad Ali Shah has said that injustice is being done to players from Sindh in selection of Pakistan team.
He expressed these views during the Sindh Assembly session here on Friday.
He alleged that removal of Pakistan One-day Captain Shahid Afridi was a conspiracy and injustice with players from this province.
Dr.Shah said Shahid Afridi, who holds the record of striking fastest 37 ball century in ODI besides hitting the highest number of sixes in One-day Internationals, is being roughly treated by the board.
He appealed to Patron Inchief of PCB, President Asif Ali Zardari for changing the Chairman of the board.
Sindh Sports Minister while hailing the performance of Shahid Afridi said with an ordinary team he steered the team into the semifinal of Cricket World Cup.
He said Sindh players are not treated fairly. Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan was kept under tension by the board.
Sindh Sports Minister said currently only one Sindh player Asad Shafiq is in the Pakistan team.
Sindh Minister for Local Bodies Agha Siraj Durani fully supported Dr.Shah’s stance for changing PCB Chairmanship and called for appointing Dr Shah as PCB Chairman.
Agha Siraj Durani fully endorsed the proposal to appoint Dr.Shah as the PCB head when Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuharo asked the question to the assembly members about his appointment.
Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro asked Dr.Shah to get one Sindh boy selected in national cricket team.
Dr.Muhammad Ali Shah said due to personal efforts Azeem Ghumman from Hyderabad (Sindh) was picked as Pakistan Under19 Captain for the tour of Zimbabwe. Sindh Sports Minister claimed even 11 out of 11 players in the national team can be picked from this province because of huge cricketing talent in Sindh.
Dr.Shah said Sindh won this year’s Pentangular Cup but there was only one player from Sindh in the national team. He condemned attitude of the selectors in this regard.
